OLD BAGS. NEW TRICKS.

WHY NOW?

Because sometimes life knocks the shine off you. Isolation, relationship breakdown, financial difficulty, caring responsibilities or simply losing touch with yourself can make your world become very small. Old Bags, New Tricks is about creating a reason to come out, try something different and begin reconnecting - with creativity, with other people and perhaps with a bit of yourself.

WHATS HAPPENING?

With funding from Arts Council England, I'm taking Old Bags, New Tricks across South Gloucestershire with a series of free creative workshops. Bring an old leather bag or pair of shoes and learn how to transform it using paint, metallic foils, embellishment and leather-working techniques. No artistic experience needed. No perfect finished product expected. Come and have a go.

HOW CAN IT HELP?

Making something with your hands can give you somewhere to put your attention other than everything else going on in life. These workshops offer a relaxed place to create, talk, laugh, meet people and leave having made something that is completely your own. Places are intentionally kept limited so the sessions remain welcoming, supportive and comfortable.

SOMETHING OLD. SOMETHING RUINED.
SOMETHING WORTH ANOTHER GO.
